Over-the-top weddings are really popular this year – and, truth be told, we have all the reasons in the world to love them. Opulent, magnificent and truly unforgettable, an over-the-top wedding can definitely make you feel like the princess of the night.
How do you do it though? How do you plan an over-the-top wedding that will look stunning? Here are some tips to keep in mind:
As you may already know it, over-the-top weddings are all about luxury. So make sure you choose a venue that can accommodate that for you. A museum, a small restaurant or a countryside/barn venue are great choices – but not for this kind of wedding. Search for a grand ballroom or for a really beautiful mansion/estate if you want your over-the-top wedding ideas to truly fit into your venue too.
Flowers. Pat a lot of attention to how you choose your flowers because they are among the most important pieces of décor at your wedding. Go for over-sized bouquets and exuberance and make sure you include flowers in your ceremony (even if it takes place in a garden, you can still bring your own flower arrangements), at the entrance and in your reception as well.
Lightning. Same as with the flowers, you should go really BIG when it comes to the lightning too. Choose lightning drapes, grandiose chandeliers, beautiful lampions, candle clusters and other types of lightning fixtures that truly go over-the-top and illuminate your ceremony site and wedding venue in the most beautiful ways.
